How We Verify Payment Dates

Benefit calendars change, programs end mid-cycle, and a schedule copied once goes stale within a year. Here's the exact process that keeps every date on this site accurate, and what we promise when we get one wrong.

The process

What happens before a date is published?

Every date follows the same three rules, with no exceptions. They're boring on purpose; boring is what accuracy looks like.

Official sources only

Dates come from CRA and Service Canada calendars on canada.ca, never from other websites. Secondary sources get used for cross-checking amounts, and two independent confirmations are required before a figure ships.

Quarterly re-checks

Every schedule is re-verified against canada.ca at least 4 times per year, more often around program changes like the July 2026 Groceries and Essentials Benefit transition. Each page shows its last-verified date.

24-hour corrections

A government calendar change gets reflected here within 24 hours of us finding it, and the correction log below records what changed. Errors don't get quietly edited; they get logged.

The boundaries

What this site never does

We don't publish eligibility promises, and we don't tell you what you'll receive; entitlements come from Service Canada and the CRA, not from a reference site. We don't give financial advice, we don't sell applications or paid assistance, and we aren't affiliated with the Government of Canada in any way.

The site earns money from display advertising, which never influences which dates get published or how programs get described. A payment schedule doesn't have an opinion, and neither do we: when the carbon rebate ended, our page says it ended, even though "carbon rebate dates 2026" is a search other sites still happily mislead.

Every schedule page links its canada.ca source directly, so you can check the original yourself. That's the test we'd apply to any site like this one, and we're comfortable being held to it.

The record

Verification and correction log

Every re-check and correction gets a dated entry. The log grows; it doesn't get pruned.

DateWhat was verified or corrected
July 8, 2026 All pages re-verified against the 2026 CRA and Service Canada calendars. Homepage GST wording updated to reflect the Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit replacing the GST/HST credit in July 2026.
July 8, 2026 CPP schedule cross-checked against the official Service Canada table; confirmed September 25, 2026 (not the 28th a naive business-day calculation produces).
July 7, 2026 Site launched with the 2026 master calendar, verified against canada.ca sources on publication day.
